Ever since I was a child I filtered all of my expression through my eyebrows. My mom always told me to stop scowling and that I would regret it when I was older, she was very correct. I am just under 30 and I had a permanent scowl between my brows. Even when I was relaxing there was a deep crease. It added many years to my appearance. I went to White Orchid Medical Spa for Botox® injections of my forehead wrinkles and the frown lines between my nose. I am in my forties and have had the forehead wrinkles for over 20 years. I also have a great fear of needles (even though I am a nurse). Brenda, the R.N. at White Orchid made me feel very comfortable, did not rush things and took her time to explain things to me. She was very considerate of my fear of needles—and it wasn’t scary at all, to my surprise. Just a few pinpricks!!

It was comforting for me to see that a physician evaluated me first-hand, that I was receiving the real Botox® (the R.N. even showed me the vial), and I truly felt I was in good hands. I also received a follow-up phone call that week to make sure I was very happy with my results. White Orchid’s chemical peels and microdermabrasion have been greatly beneficial to my skin in dealing with my acne. Throughout my adolescent years I have always been self conscious of my skin, whether it was always trying to cover up my blemishes or even missing school due to my acne, When I heard about these new ways of treating acne I decided to give it a shot because I had tried everything else including seeing a dermatologist. I have been on antibiotics, the pill, and even Accutane, which had severe side effects for me. I recently have had a series of chemical peels at White Orchid Medical Spa, and I must say that I have never been so happy with the condition of my skin. In the last two years, since I reached my thirties, I started breaking out with adult acne. Especially during my cycle in the month, my face looked horrible, but a month or so after a few chemical peels, and image skin products, everything has started clearing up. I also had a Botox® treatment on my forehead for that nasty “mad” wrinkle I get between my eyes, and I have been very pleased with that as well. My husband said that I look years younger. I went to White Orchid Medical Spa for the first time around 5 months ago and was very reluctant to receive Restylane® injections for lip enhancement. I have always wanted fuller lips, but did not want the balloon-like swollen lip look that I have often seen on other people who have had collagen injections. I am compelled to send my heartfelt thanks for the outstanding results and top-notch service that I received from the White Orchid Medical staff. I recently had a facial cosmetic surgery performed by a plastic surgeon at another facility. Following this surgery, I was unhappy about some problems areas that still needed to be addressed. These included my remaining smile lines (nasolabial folds) and other wrinkles around the chin area. The Restylane® alleviated these problems, filling the wrinkles in and creating a soft, very natural and youthful appearance.

I also have had a series of chemical peels. After my facelift, I still had fine lines around my face and large pores surrounding my nose. The chemical peels at White Orchid made many of those fine lines go away, in addition to minimizing my large pores.

I came to White Orchid for other procedures that involved laser treatments. On a whim, I thought I would go ahead and have the laser hair removal series for my underarms, given the fact it would only take about 15 minutes each time. It didn't hurt at all and I can't begin to say how nice it is not to have to shave there. This "no shaving" is such a great thing, I'm going to have to do the bikini area next!

I am a college student and I am planning to spend the upcoming new year in Europe traveling with a my grandparents. I have had sun damage and rosacea for many years. I grew up in the desert and having a deep, dark tan before spring break was always my goal! Twenty years later, I am paying the price. Not only do I have the disheartening, dark, scattered, sun spots and freckles, I have also developed some rosacea and broken vessels around the outer aspects of my nose and lower face. The first photofacial helped quite a lot, however I noticed vast improvement after just the 2nd treatment. The left side of my face is more stubborn, as I'm told that a great deal of sun exposure and damage occurs while driving. I am now actually comfortable wearing my hair back, I don't have to hide the sides of my face and neck behind my hair. I can now actually condsider cutting my hair short if I choose to. I appreciate the White Orchid R.N. and the time she took to explain everything to me. The follow-up care was outstanding, which included calling me the next day to see how I was doing. Since the time my daughter was born 10 years ago I have had problems with my skin. Your face is the first thing people notice. I never felt like I could put my best face forward. Growing up, I never had acne; but when I hit my late 20’s I started having major problems with breakouts. It really made me feel self conscious, and I lost confidence in myself. It seems silly to think like this as an adult, but acne really affects how you feel about yourself. I tried all the different over the counter products that you can buy at drug stores, but nothing worked. I even tried Proactive, which worked, but only for a few months. I was devastated, but I didn’t want to go to a dermatologist and have to go on an oral medication to clear it up. This is when I first went to Brenda for an acne chemical peel. I was nervous about it since I have really sensitive skin, but she reassured me that she would leave the first one on for a shorter time to make sure it would be okay. She wanted to know everything about my skin before she did the treatment, and she took the time to explain everything that she was doing, how it would feel, what would happen to my skin in the next few days, and which products would be best for my skin. She even wanted me to call her, if I had any questions or concerns after the peel was done. She was very empathetic to my situation, which really meant a lot to me.

Within a week, I noticed a difference in my skin. It felt smoother and my acne was less inflamed. She recommended her Image Clear Cell skin products to maintain my skin after the peel. Again, I was nervous since I have sensitive skin, but she instructed me on how to use the products (once a day for sensitive skin) and I never had any problems with the products irritating my skin. After two more chemical peels and using these products, my breakouts were completely gone. I continue to use the Image Clear Cell products to keep the breakouts from returning. It’s been over 9 months now and I haven’t had a flare up yet.

In addition to the Image Clear Cell products, I use the Image C hydrating eye recovery gel to keep away those fine lines that are starting to form around my eyes. It’s amazing the way that you can instantly feel the cooling sensation and tightening of the skin. I have bad allergies and have always had dark circles under my eyes. This product prevents them from becoming bags, which easily happens to me with lack of sleep. To top off my skin care and beauty regimen, I use Brenda’s line of mineral make- up. The concealer and powder match my skin tone perfectly and blends in so amazingly that you can’t even tell that I am wearing make-up. I have tried dozens of different types of make-up to cover my dark circles, but I’ve never found a product that covers them more completely and unnoticeably. I am completely satisfied with all the services and products that I’ve purchased from Brenda. Now I have relocated to London, and I am so happy with Brenda’s products that have asked her to ship them to me overseas, which she gladly does. I would recommend her services to anyone that I know.

Those of us that have experienced the embarrassment of moderate to severe acne understand the devastating effect it can have on one’s self-esteem. I have battled acne since I was 12 years old and have tried just about everything. Having never really found success, I was pretty skeptical about trying anything further, but after hearing a friend rave about her success with her chemical peels and the product line at White Orchid, I decided to pay Brenda a visit.

I feel like Brenda really listened to my wish, not only to combat my acne, but also to achieve healthy skin. Her chemical peels for acne, jump-started my skin into clearer, healthier skin. She asked me what I wanted out of a skin care product line (a 1st!), and understood that I needed a skin care regimen that would fit into my often hectic schedule. I was treated for spider veins on my left leg by a dermatologist in La Jolla last year. Not only was the sclerotherapy expensive and painful, but he missed the two biggest spider veins on my leg. I was so displeased, that I never returned to have my other leg done. I have always been self conscious about my double chin. Even in college when I was underweight, I had a double chin.
