- Leg Vein Laser
Treatment
Unsightly spider veins of the legs become more common with
age. 40% of women over the age of 40 complain of unsightly
leg spider veins, this number increases to over 70 % in
females ages 60 to 70. Until recently, treatment for leg
spider veins was a process that involved needles and other
invasive procedures. Now, we have state of the art light-based
laser treatments that allow these small veins to be successfully
treated, simply and non-invasively.
- Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is the injection of
spider veins with a sclerosing solution. It has long been considered
the gold standard for vein treatment. Sometimes the tiny
veins require only one treatment, but usually several treatments
are necessary. There is no downtime involved. The needles
used are very fine and a small amount of lidocaine (a local
anesthetic) is mixed with the sclerosing agent. Consequently,
the procedure is nearly painless.
